The new chip developed by Intel in Israel, named Springhill is based on a 10 nanometer Ice Lake processor that will allow it to cope with high workloads using minimal amounts of energy. Intel first AI product comes after it had invested more than $120 million in Israeli AI startups.

World military leaders get security briefing

42 military and political leaders from around the world spent 10 days being briefed on Israel’s security challenges by Israeli Security Agency, National Police and Israel Defense Forces. The delegation came from the U.S. Special Forces, military intelligence and Coast Guard; Congress; Senate; commanders from the Swiss Armed Forces, the International Criminal Tribunal and from the Red Cross;

High school robotics team wins 1st place in China competition

The robotics team of the Tichonet high school in Tel Aviv was part of a group that won first place in an international robotics competition in China.“We learned a lot from the Chinese groups. Three days before the competition, we adopted a new group from China and passed on our knowledge to them.”

US Federal Aviation Authority gets Israeli Nice system

Israeli software company NICE Systems has been awarded a 10 year contract worth $137 million to supply the US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) with air traffic control capabilities that will enhance transportation safety.
