英国女王的圣诞致辞是每年圣诞节的标配,圣诞致辞是怎么回事,今年的圣诞致辞女王又会提到什么,我们拭目以待。

Queen's Christmas speech 2016: Everything you need to know

The Queen will address the nation on Christmas Day during her annual festive speech.

A yearly tradition for some families, Queen Elizabeth II will deliver her 64th Christmas speech at 3pm on the day itself.

The monarch's 10-minute reflection on the year will be broadcast on BBC One, ITV, Sky 1, and Sky News.

In a year which brought Brexit and the election of US president-elect Donald Trump, as well as the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations, 2016's speech looks to be an interesting affair.

It will also be broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

The speech is played across the Commonwealth's 52 member states[英联邦52个成员国].

Originally called the King's Christmas Message, the tradition began in 1932 with a radio broadcast by King George V.

Since 1952, the message has been read by the Queen, who turned 90 earlier this year, and is now the country's longest reigning monarch.

Last year, she alluded to the threat of Isis and the UK's increasing involvement in the war on terror.

She said: "It is true that the world has had to confront moments of darkness this year but the Gospel of John[约翰福音] contains a verse of great hope often read at Christmas carol services: 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it[光照在黑暗里,黑暗不能胜过光/黑暗却不接受光].'"

She also appeared to draw parallels[类比;相提并论] between the story of Jesus's birth and the plight facing refugees today.

"For Joseph and Mary, the circumstances of Jesus's birth in a stable were far from ideal, but worse was to come as the family were forced to flee the country," she added.

对于约瑟和玛丽而言,耶稣出生在马厩,这样的环境远非理想,可更糟糕的是这家人还被迫逃离故土。

And, mentioned the birth of Princess Charlotte who was born on May 2 last year.
