①H&M Apologizes for 'Monkey' Image Featuring Black Child

②H&M apologizes for ad showing black child model wearing 'monkey' hoodie

③H&M slammed as[1] racist for 'monkey in the jungle' hoodie

[1]slam: To slam someone or something means to criticize them very severely.

The famed filmmaker slammed the claims as "an outrageous lie."

④H&M Apologizes After Using Black Child in 'Monkey' Hoodie Ad

⑤H&M apologizes for using a black child in a 'racist' sweatshirt ad — but some people don't think it's enough(标题中连人们的“愤怒”也提到了)

The New York Times:The clothing retailer H&M apologized on Monday for an image appearing in its online store that showed a black child model wearing a hooded sweatshirt that said "coolest monkey in the jungle."

USA Today: International retail giant H&M has apologized for an ad featuring a black child model wearing a hoodie emblazoned with[2] the phrase "coolest monkey in the jungle."

[2]emblazon: to print or decorate something in a very noticeable way (醒目地)印制,装饰;炫示

cars emblazoned with the company logo

CNBC: H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is under fire[3] for using a black child to model a sweatshirt sporting the phrase "coolest monkey in the jungle."

表示"to wear, display, carry, etc., especially with ostentation(卖弄;虚有其表); show off: to sport a new mink coat."]

[3]be/come under fire: to be criticized

The government has come under fire for its decision to close the mines.

Bloomberg:Hennes & Mauritz AB has started 2018 at the center of an embarrassing controversy[饱受争议] after the Swedish clothes retailer published an ad showing a black child modeling a hoodie with the text "coolest monkey in the jungle."

[两个非谓语加一个"panacea": with,用"with the text"表示“印有...”。

Business Insider: Over the weekend, H&M was accused of being racist after using a black boy to advertise a sweatshirt that says "coolest monkey in the jungle."

比如"removed the image"(撤掉照片);"pull the shirt from its stores worldwide"、"pulled the garment in question from its stores"(撤回衣服);"social media users erupted in outrage at"、"social media blew up over"、"caused a social-media storm "(引发众怒);"is under fire for" 、 "face sharp criticism on social media"(遭到批评)...
