Liu Xiao-xiao [Chongqing]

Original Sin (and other three poems)

God didn’t his duty well

When he was making me, he got a daze in his eyes

So my body figure became several tens of centimeters shorter

One eye became tilted

Flattened bridge of my noses, some teeth missed

I have never looked at reflections in the water

or the mirror on a wall

or smiled at the camera among the flowers

I walk upside down and fly with my back to the light.

concealing evil as concealing my ugliness

God held multiple positions and was in a state of panic

misplaced a beast bone in my chest

So I always want to rob wealth and prosperity

I refuse to plead guilty when I lure the female object

My animal nature was given by God

I came too hastily, the God could not foresee the coldness in the world

I must be instinctively in the whirlpool of competition and natural selection

I will give back my human skin to the god legitimately

and preserve the animal nature decently

Posture

When I spend a long time

thinking and writing

What posture should be maintained?

I don’t like sunlight coming in from the left side

obviously uncovering the scar left by me when I was defeated

I don’t like the light shining directly from above even more

It can make my withered chin

like a light and thin dagger without accuracy

piercing into a painless void

Seeing the magnificent dresses in the spring breeze

I always want to straighten out wrinkles

Seeing the wriggling cheeks between cups and plates

I always want to bounce off rice grains

Seeing a mother dog being ambushed on the roadside

I turn a blind eye on that case

While I secretly grit my teeth for the failed posture

of the male dog

as well as for myself often

Barking

A warm and delicate creature was held in my arms

blurred, fleshy, sinking

gradually opening up,it was a very white body

I was about to enter the best state

A burst of dog barking woke me up

I gritted my teeth and wanted to scold that loudly

Afraid of waking others up

My angry eyes widened and I couldn’t see anything

I had touched my saliva from the dreaming

The woman next to me was snoring evenly

It’s so difficult to be a man

Having an extramarital affair in my dream, I was also caught by a dog

I sat up in extreme anger

barking along with the dog

Don’t need to pay any attention to the society

If it needs no quietness, then everyone is not quiet

The woman next to me is snoring evenly

Silence and Wordiness

—to the future undertaker

Close my eyelids

Close my lips for me

Bow to me and pay me respects.

Dress me and put on a hat

Draw my eyebrows and paint me red.

Give me a manicure and shaving.

Give me a spell to atone for my sins.

Burn incense for me and clean my body.

What’s your family name and last name? are you a man or a woman?

Are you strong or weak ,how old are you?

Everything is unknown, for him

Close contact and nothing to say.

Close at hand and out of reach.

You put and send my dignity, decency

and the declining love and hate.

to the highest and farthest

I want to say a few more words to you

50 years in advance

before my body becomes a ghost
