The pairs free skate was the last figure skating competition of the Games, after two weeks of artistry on the ice and tumult off it.

Sui Wenjing and Han Cong of China won the pairs event on Saturday at Capital Indoor Stadium, capping two tumultuous weeks of figure skating at the Beijing Games that included record-setting performances, competitive firsts and a doping dispute that upended the women’s singles competition.
