New Changes To The Prohibited Items On Trains In China From July

The State Railway Administration and the Ministry of Public Security announced the "Catalogue of Prohibited and Restricted Articles to be Carried and Consigned by Railway Passengers", effective July 1, 2022.

The old version is also abolished.

The Catalogue clearly prohibits consignment and carry-on of ten types of items, including firearms and bullets (including major parts), explosives, control devices, flammable and explosive substances, toxic substances, etc., and provides for items prohibited to be carried but can be consigned, and items restricted to be carried.

Restricted Carry-on Items

1. People can carry with the package is well sealed, clearly marked and alcoholic beverages with a volume content greater than or equal to 24%, less than or equal to 70% of the total of not more than 3000 ml.

2. Perfume, lotion, spray, gel and other non-flammable components of non-self-injecting pressure containers of daily necessities, the volume of a single container does not exceed 100 ml, each limited to one piece.

3. No more than 2 common lighters

4. Clearly marked chargers, lithium batteries, a single rated energy does not exceed 100wh, except for electric wheelchairs containing lithium batteries

5. Nail polish no more than 50 ml

6. Cold iron, mousse, hair dye, hairspray, insecticide, etc., the volume of the single container does not exceed 150 ml, each limited to 1, the total does not exceed 600 ml.
