Which law can protect you better?
Most western buyers now understand thatthey have to prepare a bilingual contract if they want to buy from a Chinesefactory. But when it comes to selectingapplicable law, they always prefer to law in their home country, say the USA. They believe that that law would protect thembetter.
It’s true that people usually are free tochoose applicable law in the contract. However, it’s not easy to do so when the dispute goes to the court. You have to hire an expert to provide counselto the judge, who of course, is unwilling to use a law of other jurisdiction. So, it’s costly and complicated.
So for general business, we stronglyrecommend to choose the law of PRC. Webelieve solving issue in time and cost-effective is our priority. What do you think?
