TIPS | How to get meal-kits delivered to you?
If you would like to cook your own meals and are looking for something like Hello Fresh to help you along, follow the instructions below to use Meituan’s version of ‘meal-kit delivery’.

Open 'Meituan Maicai' (美团买菜).

Click 'Recipes' (菜谱) at the bottom.

Scroll down to 'All' (全部) to get all recipes, or search by ingredient (e.g. 西红柿 – tomato), by meal (e.g. Breakfast, Dinner) and by category (e.g. Shanghai cuisine).

Choose the dish you want to cook. Each dish will have (1) a photo, (2) a name, (3) a difficulty rating, (4) a preparation time, (5) an ingredient list, (6) options to buy the ingredients, (7) a list of steps, each one accompanied by a photo.

To add ingredients to your trolley, click the green buttons. The 'main ingredient' and 'other ingredient' lists give you various brands or options to choose from for each ingredient.

Click on the trolley in the top right-hand corner and pay for ingredients using the red button.

When the ingredients arrive, follow the pictures to make the dish.

Can't read Chinese? No worries. Take a screen capture with your phone and upload to the Google Translate app using the app’s camera option.

Enjoy your home-cooked meal!
