《美丽中国》是第一部表现中国野生动植物和自然人文景观的大型电视纪录片，是中国中央电视台（CCTV）和英国广播公司（BBC）第一次联合摄制的作品。
影片从长江以南的稻米之乡开始，到酷热的西双版纳雨林，极寒的珠穆朗玛峰，中国的标志长城，中华文化发源地黄河流域以及蜿蜒曲折的1.8万公里海岸线等。
《美丽中国》曾荣获第30届“艾美奖新闻与纪录片大奖”最佳自然历史纪录片摄影奖、最佳剪辑奖和最佳音乐与音效奖。

"Crane,lend me your wings,I go no farther than Lithang county.“天空中洁白的仙鹤请将你的双翅借我我不往远处去飞
"And thence,return again. "只到理塘就回”
Tibetans believed he was predicting the site of his own reincarnation西藏人相信他在预言他的转世
and in due course his successor was found,在适当的时候可以找到他的继承者
sure enough,living in Lithang county.当然他的继承者一定是在理塘生活
Even today,black-necked cranes are treated with reverence and即使在今天黑颈鹤落在村庄附近的农田时
are welcomed by farmers as they land in the fields around the villages.
